Preface: process of writing a paper
what is the process of writing a paper ?Although scientific experiments require a lot of time and effort, these experiments will be fruitful for the scientific community if the results are made available to others. A research paper is a way to exchange information and inform others about the results of research. A paper is a way to get the details of the data you have collected through scientific research. You can share your opinion about the analysis and interpretation of the obtained data with others through a scientific article. More popular articles like isi articles will do better in this role.
The process of writing a paper for a scientific article has certain patterns and standards that are different from other scientific and non-scientific writings. In order to communicate correctly, mastering the use of English is essential so that the research reports can be provided to others without ambiguity and in simple language. Scientific papers should be written in a very simple, clear and concise language so that readers with academic backgrounds and studies similar to the author can easily understand the work and how to conduct experiments; They may want to reconstruct the results or expand the research.
The process of writing a paper for a scientific article has certain patterns and standards that are different from other scientific and non-scientific writings.Stages of essay writing and how to write an article
Although different scientific journals may have a specific pattern and format for writing an article, a general format for writing an article that can be used for most journals can be defined as follows:
• Article topic
• Abstract
• Introduction
• Method Research
• Results
• Discussion and Analysis
• Conclusions
• Resources
Subject
In the process of writing a paper, each scientific article should have a suitable title that accurately describes the research done in the text of the article. The name of the article should be chosen in such a way that the reader, seeing the name of the article, realizes the general actions taken and the main issue of the research and does not need to read the whole article to introduce the work. For example, the title “Effects of Light and Air Temperature on Bacterial Population Increase” is considered appropriate.
You can use your keywords to choose the right name for your article. Select a few keywords (for example, three) and search for reputable sites such as Scopus or Science-direct. With this search, you can see the titles of related articles and get help from them for the title of your article. For example, we want to write a title for our article that uses the keywords Laser Welding, Mechanical Strength, and Micro-structure. We are looking for these three keywords in Scopus:

As you can see from the names of similar articles, you can use the type of process as well as the material used in the title of the article and thus reach a suitable title for your article. Also use words like Performance or Properties. In this way, the appropriate title of the article is created.
Abstract
In the abstract, a brief summary of the whole article is given. Abstract is something beyond the summary of the text of an article; The rewritten summary of the whole text is shorter and for those who have already read the text, while a brief summary of the research reports is appropriate for those who have not read the text and intend to decide whether to continue reading it. However, the abstract cannot be a viable alternative to the whole original text.
The abstract should contain about 250 words, which includes research objectives, general materials, research methods, summarized results, and final conclusions. Abstract text should not contain additional information than the original text of the research. You can find several similar articles and follow their abstract.
Abstract writing pattern
The first sentence of the abstract is usually the whole of the main process. For example, the article
“Micro-structure and mechanical properties of AerMet 100 ultra-high strength steel joints by laser welding”
which translates to “super high strength steel micro-structure and properties of laser welding joints AerMet 100” and the first sentence summary
“AerMet100 ultra- high strength steel plates with a thickness of 2 mm were welded using a CO2 laser welding system ”
which translates as:“ AerMet100 high strength steel sheets with a thickness of 2 mm were welded using CO2 laser beam ”. Of course, this sentence can be written more fluently in Persian in the form of “In this study, 2 mm thick AerMet100 super-strong steel sheet parts have been welded using CO2 laser beam”.
The second sentence describes the processes performed to achieve the result. For the said article, the second sentence is summarized as follows:
“The influences of the welding process parameters on the morphology and micro-structure of the welding joints were investigated, and the mechanical property of the welding joints was analyzed. ”
Translations second sentence may be used in this way wrote: “The effect of welding parameters on morphology and micro-structure of the joints examined and mechanical properties of joints resulting analysis begins is”
then the method to more completely expressed or enter the results For the sample article, the third sentence begins with the results:
“The experimental results showed that the fusion zone of welding joint mainly consisted of columnar grains and a fine dendrite substructure grew epitaxially from the matrix. With the other conditions remaining unchanged, a finer weld micro-structure was along with the scanning speed increase. ”.
The translation of this sentence also begins as follows: “The results of the experimental experiments showed that”
After that, the continuation of the results and finally the conclusion will be stated in general.
An easy way to write an abstract is to select the important parts of each research section and include them in words that briefly describe the whole article.
Introduction
The introductory part of the essay writing process is written to introduce the main problem under study and the motivations for solving the problem. This section should provide the reader with enough information
so that the reader praises your work and is eager to read the rest of the text. The first paragraph of the introduction usually describes the application of the method or materials used.
A useful strategy for writing this section of the essay writing process is to start with the general problem and plan and get to the subject of the article. However, this section should not be too long and extensive, and when writing it, you should pay attention to the fact that the audience of your text is a person with similar information to you. Just list the main points and quickly and without preamble.
Introduction writing pattern
To begin this section, you can talk about the application of the process or the materials used in the research. For example, with phrases such as “high-strength alloy steels are widely used in the oil, gas, petrochemical and automotive industries.” You can then refer to the process method, for example: “One of the most important ways to permanently connect these types of alloys is to use melting welding methods and precision welding processes, including laser welding.” Of course, you can express these sentences more broadly and assign a paragraph to it.
In the next paragraph, you can enter the research background. For example, with phrases like, “Laser welding was first invented in ’58 by ‘.” In the following, refer to the research process done so far and articulate this statement in such a way that the importance of your work is determined.
Try to have a few references (for example, 2-3 cases) to the articles in your journal. This creates a positive view in the magazine editor and shows that you have reviewed the articles in that journal and have submitted your article knowing that your article is appropriate for that journal. Also, these references will improve the impact factor of the journal if your article is published, so editors are interested in articles that help them grow their journal.
In the background of the research, avoid accumulated references, for example, the reference of a sentence should not be in the form of [6-1] and try to use single references such as [1] and finally two or three such as [2, 1] or [3- 1] Use. The high number of referenced references creates the impression that you only want to increase the number of references without being really important, which creates a negative view in the referee’s mind.
In the last paragraph, explain the generality of your work and explain its importance and innovation without exaggerating. This section will probably be read by a judge who is very experienced and knowledgeable in your field of science, so if you praise your work too much, there is a possibility that the article will be rejected. It is also important to point out your novelty clearly in your article. The last paragraph of the introduction is one of the most important parts of any article, and the judges pay special attention to it.
Research Methods
This section deals with time, place, and how to conduct research. In this section, the researcher provides the audience with the steps of writing an article, research plan, required accessories, information collection method and controlling the results.
For example, you can specify the materials used and their dimensions. You can then introduce the devices used and then describe the process and how it works accurately and completely.
Results
In this section, the author uses various tables, pictures and diagrams to provide the reader with the results obtained from each experiment and does not provide an explanation about the meaning of these diagrams and analysis of the results. This section usually contains the largest number of pages of the article. The extensive and extensive nature of this section contributes to the publication of this article.
Discussion and analysis
In this section, the author provides the reader with more details about the results obtained, the correlation of the variables, and their interpretation. In this section, the author should explain to the audience the reason for any deviation from the expected results or the results of previous research.
Conclusion
In the way of writing research(process of writing a paper), the general conclusion should be considered. In this section, the author should be able to easily present the overall result of the research, its meaning and interpretation of the results to the reader.
You can also write your results in paragraph-by-paragraph format. The first sentence of this section usually introduces the whole work, for example, “In this study, laser welding of high-strength steel was performed using the. Method, and the experimental method. Was used to investigate the strength of the samples.”

References
In this section, the author should prepare a list of all the sources that he has cited in writing the article and insert it at the end of his article. Using any data, images, charts, etc. from other scientific articles without mentioning its name in the list of sources is considered a kind of scientific theft .
Use a large number of new sources (for example, with the release years above 2015). Because it is easy to review the resources of the year, many judges pay special attention to the resources and thus realize that the work is new. If most of your references date back to before 2010, the referee will have an opinion that this is outdated and of low value to the scientific community. Also, the low number of resources (for example, less than 10) creates the view that the researcher does not fully know his / her field of research and research in this field.
So try to use a relatively large number of sources (for example, at least 25) and half of them are above 2010 and at least 7-8 above 2015. If a book is used in the article, refer to the newer version of the book to make it more modern. . Check out the articles published in your field and find out the exact number of their usual references. There are some judges who have a minimum number of references in their minds (for example, 20) and do not pay attention to articles whose number of references is lower than this number.
